...or Masa Square

Is it the times square unit being used and if so is it a new owner or just a refit.

I will try to clear up the confusion over the location of the new "Belfry". It is in Plaza Mayor directly opposite the "Hole In The Wall" and owned by the same people. "Times Square" is the Irish bar/restaurant which is also in Plaza Mayor and has no connection with the new "Belfry". The "Belfry" is in the unit that has been empty for a very long time. This was formerly the cafeteria run by the owner of the bowls complex and actually on the opposite side of the road to the existing bowls club restaurant known as El Rincon. Two entrances into the place, one from the roadside and one from Plaza Mayor where the other bars and restaurants are. Hope this helps.

Well done to The Belfry.
Just read this on their Facebook page;
The belfry is fully booked for Sunday Carvery this week between 1pm and 4.30pm
However there are a few tables left between 4.30 and 6.30 pm if you would like a later Sunday lunch
Thanks everyone for your reservations see you Sunday

I have just been into the new ¨Belfry¨ (Sat 13:00) to book a meal for the carvery for a week Sunday. The place has been completely refurbished. The decor and layout inside and out is excellent and very pleasing to the eye. The waitress who arranged our booking was very professional and helpful. We met some good friends inside having a meal and apparently the beef soup is excellent. I cannot wait to give the carvery a try !

Sunday 19th April ... just arrived back home in Puerto Marino from our meal at the Belfry. I´m stuffed and very pleased with our first experience of the new Carvary in GA. No starters (I was too scared to overfill my now enormous stomach - I failed). The food was presented exceptionally well, beautifully cooked and absolutely delicious. My opinion is very much influenced by the fact that the music was late 60`s and 70´s Tamla Motown playing quietly in the background. Fabulous afternoon ... think I might go again ! ! !
-
who got you stuffed?
-
Good food and Motown

What a brilliant combination
Looking forward to our first visit even more now.
I've heard good things about Slimfast Les

Had a lovely meal here yesterday evening, I had the fish cakes and Sirloin Steak which was rare as requested, I will have the ribs next visit as they looked very meaty. Well worth a visit and the staff were very friendly.

We would have been very happy had it been a carvery in the UK, in Spain it far exceeded our expectations
I took a peek at the "evening menu", looked very good, we will be calling in one night this week to sample!!
A great package, good food, pleasant surroundings and a good team of staff.
Good to see you.......but are you dignitaries?

The Mrs and I booked a table at The Belfry this evening after viewing the menu on Sunday, we were not dissapointed.
The waitress who sat us at our table introduced herself by name and told us that she would be looking after us for the evening, lovely touch.
The Mrs enjoyed the fishcakes with a sweet chilli dip that much on Sunday she had them again..........she was not disspointed. I had the garlic prawns......lovely, bags of flavour and the bread dipped in the garlic infused oil was a delight.
For main I couldnt resist the lamb shank............wowser, one of the best I have ever had, so so tender it just fell off the bone, it was first rate........accompanied by big side dish of fresh veg cooked perfectly with some potatoes.
Mrs H went for the chicken breast, lovely and moist with a side salad and chips............she didnt leave any!!
We were both too full to sample a desert
Very good meal in lovely surroundings, Paul deserves every success.
Some great Motown music playing in the background as well!!
Give it a go, you wont be dissapointed
Regards all
John
PS Good to see you tonight Tony..........enjoy your Sunday lunch ;-)

Visited the Belfry for the first time last night. A great experience: food, service and atmosphere all of a high standard. We're lucky to have such an establishment in GA.
Thoroughly recommend it, if you haven't tried it yet, please do, you won't be disappointed!
