Our Holiday Home Insurance is due for renewal.

Have you any recommendations, hints, tips, who to avoid, Spain or UK based etc.?

Been with Linda Rowland in Santa Pola from Day One, she insures both my house and my car.

Have to totally agree with the previous two comments

Have used them for over 13 years now for both Home & Car Insurance and would never use anyone else

Extremely helpful and will always look to get the best deal both financially and ability of Insurance company to meet your needs

Another plus one for Linda Rowland and her sister Lorri.

Use them for both house and car insurance.  With insurance companies you only know how good they are when you have cause to make a claim.  A few years ago someone drove past our parked car too closely and took off the wing mirror.  One call to Linda and she sorted out the repair for us very quickly.

Second what the previous have said.
Buying you can do online with various company's but it's when you need to use it you see the value off the broker.

Weve also used Linda Rowland for house insurance since 2002, but as in the uk spain is no different the premiums creep up year on year, no rewards or duscount for loyalty, the sums insured creep up whilst the real cost of replacement goes down. Therefore do so comparison checks just to make sure its still a great deal and not just a good deal.

We always had excellent service and advice from Linda Rowland, so would unreservedly recommend her for insurance products. We had a large claim which was dealt with in a very professional manner and took the worry off us. She and her staff are very friendly and helpful.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm beginning to think that Linda Rowland might be worth a try.

If you are in Spain Kevin it might be an idea to go into her office and have a chat with Linda or her sister Lorri.  No obligation to sign up but it would give you a personal impression of them.

Good Luck

We had a contents only policy with Linda Rowlands but when we tried to claim for all the water damage from the floods to our linen and bedding etc that was ruined we were told that the claim was unlikely to be successful so it didn't go any further. We had originally a house and contents policy with an English company, our stereo went bang during an enormous lightning stroke, I tried to claim for a replacement but was unsuccessful. Seems all is fine with house insurance until you need to make a claim.
