The annual Suma Charge is normally debited from our Spanish Bank account in mid September.  It hasn't been taken this month.  Not sure if it is being billed later this year, or if something has gone wrong with our direct debit!  Does anyone know?

We had this notification from Abaco

Dear Client,

Due to the situation derived from the COVID-19 pandemic, SUMA (the tax collection agency) has delayed the payment period for municipal taxes, until November 6th, 2020.

The tax due for this payment period 2020 will be directly debited from your bank account by SUMA on the 2nd of November.

Interesting they are allowed to delay taking the tax due to covid if it helps them . Yet they are issuing fines to brits who can’t ITV or tax the car as they can’t visit Spain due to covid . Double standards again

We had an email direct from the Suma office stating deadline is the 6th Nov with direct debit being taken on the 2nd Nov. Lots more included information about paying etc. Quite unusual to get such a helpful email.

Thanks for the responses.  We've been making an average of 8 trips a year to GA since 1992, but haven't been over since January.  Really missing it!! Fortunately all of the bills are on direct debit and we  have someone keeping an eye on the property for us.  The SUMA bill will no doubt find its way into our mail box in Novamar - and I'll just watch out for the direct debit in November along with everyone else!  Thanks again.
