Booster added to Covid Vaccination Passport

Just checked on the NHS app and the Booster vaccination I had last week has been added to my travel certificate complete with QR code.

Yes they were uploaded yesterday, so time to request a new certificate for travelling overseas. It’s looking like many countries will be imposing stricter entry requirements in the new year where you will have to prove your up to date, which could mean 6 monthly boosters becoming the norm until a long term solution is found so brace yourself it’s going to be a bumpy ride. My prediction is that persons who choose not to be vaccinated could find any travel outside your home country impossible.

Reckon you are right Wilson, still I reckon a regular booster that enables me to travel to Europe mainland is a small price to pay for freedom, I've found that all three jabs have clobbered me, the first I suffered for nine days, and the remaining two to a lesser degree, it's the same with flu Vax, I think of it as a good thing, proves I've still got an immune system.

Wilson - I'll send off for new NHS letters today so I can take the updated hardcopy with me for next trips (good tip_.

Paper copy is only valid for a month apparently so don't request it too soon.

Phoned 119 for mine, they assured me the paper version was ongoing, expect in the post in 5 days

We Went to Santa Pola, last week to ask about receiving booster, being 68 & 69, & have had jabs here in Spain early May, they  were happy to see us, however when they checked our sip cards, it flagged up our age, so unfortunately couldn't give to us, we shall try again this week prior to our trip to UK next week

The one I had via the post was a bit better than the online one as there was no expiration date on it (last time)

I think the problem is that the QR code expires.

It’s a matter of each to there own on how you deal with this documentation that will be required in some form for years to come. We have caught 10 flights this year and frequently see and hear about check in issues. All I can say is that travellers with original paper copies of boarding cards, vaccination certificates, health locator forms etc for each traveller have no apparent issues. Persons relying on phones and self printed scraps of paper which won’t always scan and multiple travellers on each seem to have most issues.

I second Wilson's point about printed documents.
I flew back from ALC yesterday and people were denied boarding because they couldn't prove vaccine status or that they'd completed a locator form. There was an ongoing argument between the spanish girl checking docs in the queue and a spanish couple who she didn't allow to board and eventually they left the area and a bloke behind me was cursing his phone because he couldn't fill in a locator form for some reason.
A large family at an adjacent gate were also escorted from the airport by five guardia civil (although I don't know why).
At BHX it was passports only this time.
