I've mentioned problems with the TV wall aerial sockets, replaced both of mine which cured picture break up by have also recently had problems with the cheap aerial leads that are used between the TV and the socket. They cause signal attenuation quite quickly , replaced them from one of the Chinese shops only a few moths ago and they became faulty, replacing them again has restored a good signal but I suspect it won't be for long, cut an old lead open and the cable is rubbish, going to make some new leads up at home and bring them out.

I would agree kev, using poor quality cables in any electrical item just isnt worth it especially cheap chinese tat. With aerial coaxial cable you get different grades i use the mid range stuff as there seems little gain from the expensive premium grades and using gold connectors. I like to make my own cables with quality cable and good connectors again cheap ones are always sloppy, cable made to correct length.
