Thank you for taking the trouble to reply so quickly. We have looked at Alicante holidays and there is availability but the dates don't quite match what we want so we were just wondering if there was anything else out there.

Goldcar again

My wife and I plus two friends decided to see some of northern Spain we flew from Manchester to Bilbao and hired a car from Goldcar at Bilbao airport returning it to Alicante airport visiting Bilbao,San Sebastian and Zaragoza on the way (if you've not visited any of these places your missing a trick we had a wonderful time food, scenery and places of interest)on collecting the car we saw it had significant damage to the passenger side door we brought this to the attention of the guy at the desk he accepted the car was damaged ( how could he not)and gave us the damage report with the damage clearly marked so we were in the clear.
We eventually returned the car to Goldcar at Alicante airport and made the guy on the returns counter inspect the car he checked the damage report gave us the thumbs up and stamped our  paperwork.
The next day we received an email telling us the damage was our fault and we must pay €350 which incidentally would nowhere near cover the cost of the repair, fortunately we had taken photo's of the damage which clearly showed the damage, date, time and location which we emailed back to them we await their reply.
We also contacted our own insurance company and told them the story which they welcomed because they are sick of being ripped off by Goldcar and in the process of taking them to court.be aware!!!

Spartacus a quick Internet search will show goldcar to be a criminal organisation that should be avoided.
