Bathroom fitter/shower installer
« on: August 13, 2019, 01:05. »
We have recently bought a first floor apartment in Monte y Mar.  We are new to the area and not familiar with the local trades people, so we would welcome any recommendations for a ‘plumber/bathroom fitter’ who could remove our bath and install a shower and enclosure, the rest of the existing bathroom is fine. We are not full time in Spain and not back in GA until 23rd September for 3 weeks but hope that we can find someone to do the work then.
Many thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Welcome to GA, this is my opinion on tradesmen in the area, some are excellent, some are good and some are awful in equal amounts. Whilst recommendations are essential please always bear in mind that many people who give them might be friends and family and not genuine paying customers, in 20 years on GA ive lost count of the cowboys who got glowing feedback but leaving carnage behind them. It also used to be the case that you had to wait 6 to 12 months for the best trades because they were so busy others could fit you in this thursday.if possible try and look at similar refurbs near you a decent builder will show you there recent project if available.Lastly paperwork and receipts ,some do it properly whilst others are a mobile number and cash only, always be clear before any work starts to save confusion at the end.
