Return to the UK

What is the difference between an antigen test & a p.c.f test & are either  accepted for flights back to u.k
The taking of  the test is same procedure, the antigen LFT gets done there and then and gives instant result, though accuracy isn’t high apparently, the PCR is analysed at a laboratory and takes longer but is conclusive and contains analytical information regarding strains etc.
What’s needed test wise is specific to your particular circumstances regarding age, what vaccines you may have had. So reading today’s rules is imperative as they do update frequently.

Return to the UK

Gave some friends a lift today to the Salvum clinic at the Life Resort for there return to the Uk lateral flow tests. The tests cost €40 each. The clinic was extremely busy with probably 50 people with a 11am appointment, lots of efficient staff to process the queue with I reckon at least 4 clinicians doing the test. It’s not a diy test they do it for you whilst wearing full ppe. Your then asked to wait outside the building for 25 minutes and then return to counter to pick up your results. Prior to attending a scan of passport is emailed so the forms are already complete. You are then asked to check all your details before leaving to ensure accuracy. The only issues I saw were walk ins who didn’t provide passport information or thought the price extortionate, clearly everybody else had prebooked. A well run service.
