Source?

Derek
Not sure how reliable it was the Liverpool Echo and The Sun newspaper so maybe just being hopeful. Although there is quite  often truth behind rumours. We shall see

Yep my passport was stamped in and out . But I guess it’s all on computer anyway
Yes it’s called API, all legal entry and exit into the uk is collected and stored for eternity.
I think you got mistaken Wilson - the conversation was passports being stamped into and out of Spain; but it's still a sort of API

Arrived back last night from Spain to the UK. Got our first call at 11.45am for my husband on my phone.  Didn’t want to speak to me. During the call it rang again on my phone, similar number so my husband told the last another call is coming in and she said oh that will be for your wife. By the time she hung up the second call had gone to answer phone. So now I expect they think
I was out and about and not quarantining. Seems daft they ring within 3 minutes on the same number 🤦‍♀️ Thought one phone number would do both of us but obviously not

Looking at El Pais today.

You will need a negative PCR test OR evidence of a double jab before entry. This will be in force from Midnight Wednesday.

Since Sanchez made his announcement on Cadena SUR this morning, there has been much confusion as he only mentioned the Balearic Islands..... ::) However this has been superseded by a statement from Spain's Foreign Minister. All will be made clear in the BOE which will be published tomorrow.

It seems, as the UK placed the Balearics on the 'Green List' a few days ago, that if this was to be mandatory in the whole of Spain, this would hopefully be a preamble for the UK to place mainland Spain on the Green List too.

I don’t think we’ve ever carried so many bits of paper to travel back and forth, whilst most things are on an email, app or QR code the safety net is always the piece of A4 that sits in the front pocket of the suitcase. On a separate note for anyone with a hire car booking, prices are now in free fall for July.

I always print off a hard copy of my boarding pass 'just in case'. The thought of having to pay Ryanair £60+ because I left my phone on the train doesn't bear thinking about.

Like most things it only becomes an issue when someone wants it to be, had a similar conversation regarding driving permit for UK license holders. The rules are woolly and vague with no definitive yes or no so best advice is get one. Whilst technology is great it collapses when the battery is flat.

Try plugging it into the mains then.

We dropped our friends today at ALC for there flight back to the UK and it was so busy at departures check in, Ryanair had 10 desks operating and the queue was huge never in all these years seen it like that. They had documents checked by staff member who suggested that they had seen huge requests to fly back to the UK before amber plus came in. Just shows how a few media reports can cause a frenzy, lack of clarity and poor communication creates a vacuum where anything goes.
