I don’t know why anyone worries about these tests. The point of ordering the test is to add the code into the passenger locator form to get on the plane and back to the UK.  Whatever happens to it afterwards doesn’t matter. You do the test you post it and you have done what is required. If you get the results back fine if not so what

My experience last week was that the forms were the hardest part of my trip.
The test on the UK side was done in minutes , sent off and result came back within 12 hours of posting it.

So fast and efficient................but someone is certainly making a bob or two on them

Well I suppose the point is if it comes back positive you would do the right thing and isolate to avoid passing it on and maybe causing a very serious case or death in others

Well yes I realise that. Maybe I didn’t make it very clear. The point was the test is necessary to get back to the UK but whether the tests are all piled up or not is irrelevant. I know someone who tested negative after day 2 results arrived back on day 5 but on day 4 got Covid symptoms and tested positive after a further PCR test and they had been out and about from arriving back in the UK so it’s all ridiculous really

No the tests being piled up is not irrelevant it’s a crying shame and they are wasting our money. The point of the test is not to get into UK it’s to make sure you don’t have covid and if you do not pass it around. People have paid good money and should be given the service paid for within the timescales agreed on purchase anything else is fraud and is this case extremely dangerous . There could be loads of positive tests on those containers kids could play with them open them anything. Or someone could be positive pass it on and someone dies

Well, much as I praised "testing for all" - I have turned out to be the exception to might what otherwise be a good rule.

Arrived back on Monday 19th July did the day 2 tests on Tuesday am and got the results back for my wife via email on Weds evening.

I on the other hand got mine back yesterday, 21 days later. What on earth was the point in all of it ?

I can see in years to come. Did you pay for a day 2 or day 8 covid test and never got the results well now you can make a claim.

I’m still waiting for test results used Expert Medicals. Samples were with them Friday. So still early days, but I won’t be holding my breath.
