Changes To Entry Requirements From UK

It's not all doom and gloom. This time last year a one-way flight BHX - ALC went up to £330 before they were all pulled. This year I paid £100 return including the cost of the two tests for approx the same dates (and I had a row to myself).
Also Ryanair have started selling duty-free again with their litre bottles at £14, much cheaper than the duty-free shop at the airport. They also sell cigs on board but only had Malboro and B&H at £30/carton.

Whilst waiting at ALC for return about 50 passengers came in on our flight, there were 38 of us returning to Bristol, funnily they asked passengers to move because no one had bought the exit seats which need occupying in case of an emergency. The trolley service took about 4 minutes, cracking flight for £84 return.
Booked up completely for 2022 as all schedules are out, bargains galore especially if your not fussy on airport or dates and times.

Might not be such a bargain if more restrictions come in after Christmas. over 106K new cases today in the UK.

But they don’t seem to be turning into hospitalisation or death thankfully . Maybe it’s time to be optimistic

Hi Spurs

I hope you are correct but mathematics shows that when they had 20,000 new cases and 10% being hospitalised they had 2,000 in hospital.

So a new variant comes along (106K new cases) and only puts 2.5 % into hospital this gives you 2,650 in hospital beds.

This is where the problem is because the number of cases are now so high it only takes a small % to exceed the previous wave hospitalisations.

That’s a fair point but the early data from Scotland is its about 65% lower hospitalised than delta . In South Africa they have actually stopped test and trace because so few are ending up in hospital I’ve seen a graph on South Africa which I will put on when I find it again it quite surprising

Also don’t forget we are testing 4 times as much as last year

Things in the booking world have improved greatly since 2019 everything including airport parking, flights, car hire is can be either cancelled with no fee or moved free of charge to another date, the only stipulation with flights is same airports both ends. Even the little fella is playing nice.
