check your April bill fully, it would appear if Iberdrola goes belly up you will be transferred to a new provider, same situation a in uk in February,, please correct me if i have misread full page wording.

I’ve looked at my recent iberdrola bill and online and can see absolutely nothing to suggest that Spain’s main supplier of electricity may be going “belly up” can the original poster clarify there concerns instead of sending forum members down a rabbit hole.

It looks to me THEIR concerns are unfounded. Looking at their accounts I can see that a profit of 5,053 million Euros was recorded in 2020 and this increased to 6,301 million Euros in 2021. Someone once told me at Speakers corner the world was going to end I did not believe him either.

As a side observation they also own Scottish Power here in the UK. This might be interesting to members who mainly live in the UK. EDF who are the state owned electricity company in France sell me currently electricity at 4.5p per KW between 1.00am to 6.00am. I then sell surplus electricity to Scottish power at 5.5p per KW during the day. This time of year I run my car for free, heat the swimming pool for free and cover my total electricity bill most days. It pays to go green as long as it is not in the eyes.

Now I actually think that I have beat the current energy costs here in the UK

The subject of EV I actually have a Jeep 4XE which is a plug in Hybrid. I seldom use any petrol normally running just on electric. I have done just over 9,200 in it with all but 2,100 miles being done on electric this includes one drive to GA which must have been 1,500 plus. I can easily charge in up this time of year during the day but if the weather forecast is not good I program it to charge overnight at 4.5p per Kw.

At home I have a solar system that heats the water in the house and once done dumps the rest through an heat exchanger into the pool. I also have a more recent Solar system being 6.00 Kw with a 10.5 Kw battery system. Being down in the South of the UK it is producing well. Today 36.9 Kw being produced of which I have used 22.4 Kw so far.
