One of y neighbours has UK TV , provided by EXCOMM ( former Telecable) they do an Internet router that provides  TV over IP. I enquired  about having the same in the summer and was told they weren't doing any installed until the new system was ready. It now is but the TV package has virtually no UK TV channels,  ws told today that they have dropped them, how this will affect existing customers I don't know. Has anyone got experience of Avatel fibre access and the Clic TV, and do they do an on/off service ? Any advice gratefully appreciated

Since selling my place on Novamar, I've bought a motorhome. Many of my motorhoming colleagues use a mifi router for streaming TV whilst touring Europe. It does, of course, require a SIM with plenty of data allowance and a decent mobile signal. If using a local Spanish SIM you will need to set up a VPN network to get UK channels. Most of these portable mifi routers are 12V but a suitable adapter can solve that.

Thanks for the advice re using mobile data, however we are in Monte y Mar and most of the time we don't get a mobile signal, will try something else.

When I come to Spain I bring my MAG322 box and connect it to the wifi at the villa. I use Scandibox as my iptv provider.

I use Avatel who are down in GA commercial centre
It’s about 25 euros a month but when not in Spain you can get them to switch off with a monthly fee of just under 5 euros
It goes on a complete month basis and they ask for 5 days notice for on or off done by email
Set up fee was under 100 euro when I had it installed,in 2022
