That's what I call a Sunday Lunch
« on: March 06, 2016, 19:19. »
One of our favourite restaurants is La Vuelta Finca, http://www.restaurantelavuelta.com/default.aspx?dlang=EN, the staff there have told me for ages I would love their take on "Sunday Lunch", so today we gave it a go.
One of the best afternoons we have had in Spain.
Its a set menu, for starters you have the "tapas", today it comprised of chicken skewers with oriental sauce, smoked salmon, a tortilla topped with quals eggs and a mackeral pate............this was followed by the best bowl of ox tail soup I have ever had.........then came the main course of grilled salmon and for desert a fresh fruit salad topped with soft merangue. You'll have to excuse the photos I only had my mobile phone to take them with.
They had a group on who were fantastic, we will go and see them again.........all OAP's but boy oh boy could they rock........we had the mandatory bop as well.
Booking is essential, they were fully booked as usual today. The tables yours for the afternoon...........we were there for nearly four hours today. The cost,  €21.50 a head...........a bargain.
If you do go buy a jar of their olives, I guarantee they will be the best you have ever tasted.

Regards all

John

Hi Rich, off the 332 at Guardamar onto the CV 91 heading towards Orihuela. Take the exit for San Fulgencio, at the bottom of the slip road take a very sharp right, then second on the left, it's a very narrow road, after 300 metres you'll see the restaurant on the left.
