Only saw it open yesterday - how they got  a permit for a deck that size I can only wonder. There are three ice cream parlours now in upper GA. I only hope they have a fantastic business model that sees them through the winter.

Only in GA can you get three identical businesses in not just GA, but one walkable area. Didn't the third, if not the second, think that (for example) the Carabasi strip might be a better starting location? It's even more true for ice-cream when you think about it, it's a passing trade business.

Apologies in advance, but only a frequent visitor rather than a resident. The only two ice cream parlours I can recall are the one on the first floor of the shopping centre and the one at the top of heart attack Hill. Where is the new one and what others have I missed?  I'm a big ice cream fan. Found the one near mercadona unfriendly. Nice on on front at santa pola

Oh no!  Don't say that the New Royal India has shut down.  It was the best Indian restaurant in GA.

We went up there this afternoon. As expected it was very quiet at 5pm as most people were probably on the beach. We looked at the menu and it was pretty expensive €6 to €7 for an ice cream sundae. Holiday makers may spend that but cat see locals spending that amount. In the end we ordered a cone and a very small one too at €2.40 each. It was very nice ice cream but baffles me how they will make a go of it especially in the winter. Think they will get some trade after the Thursday market. Hope they do well but for me it was a bit pricey

Our favourite is the one in Arenales in the sqare opposite the ill fated hotel.  Good value and large portions.

Now closed and "Se Vende !!"

Lots of decking for someone if they want it !

As Victor pointed out ... someone is making a fortune on shop fitting in GA - that a bit of a record for €'s spent and moths open - didnt make the 18 momth birthday !

Pity - quite liked the place, some delicious ice cream options - but never appeared to be busy enough so closure probably inevitable.

I don't think I've bought an ice cream out in the seventeen years I've had a house here.
