Question car hire
« on: May 17, 2019, 12:35. »
Hello just a question about booking a car then cancelling and rebooking when It gets cheaper. I have booked and paid for a car from enterprise. But now the same car is £30 cheaper, so do I cancel first then rebook, or rebook than cancel? Has anyone had any problems getting there money back? Is it worth the hassle?
Thanks
Phillip

Likewise - but I note you say you have paid for the car already. Never done that, always book now and pay later on arrival/collection of car, so no issues with cancelling and re-booking as no outlay to recover.

Not at all sure what will happen with Enterprise if you try it, check the T&C's perhaps?

Thanks both
Yes I paid first because there was two prices ...pay now and pay at pick up. But pay at pick up was a extra £70....I think?
Just looked at t&c it says you can get a refund if cancelling before 7 days of pick up, so that’s good. But for £30 cheaper at the moment I will leave it ( just in case). I will keep checking 😁

I did notice on several bookings last year and early 2019 when using Do you Spain that the pay now or on arrival option didnt exist,it was pay now only admittedly the prices were ridiculously cheap so not a problem. Ive used the book and cancel numerous times, maybe the hire companies have learnt and getting money up front.
Whilst ive used DYS they're customer service is pretty poor if theres an issue any other recommendations.

I have for over 12 years now consistently used Hirecarsinspain.com, a UK broker based on the South Coast, always excellent service and if any problems have arisen ( only ever the once ) a phone call to Martin enlisting his help soon sorts it. They are well thought of by their customers. https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/hirecarsinspain.com

They can offer cheap cars as can anyone but everything is clearly explained so you know what extras to expect depending on how you book.

I have just looked on the Spanish enterprise website and the car was cheaper! I phoned them up to see if it was ok to book though Spanish website and what the conversion rate was ect. So I rebooked...I don’t know why it’s cheaper but worth a look on both websites if you’re booking up....
