Flew into Birmingham last night from Alicante with Ryanair.
When we landed we were told in no uncertain terms to stay seated and to stand up and collect our overhead luggage row by row and leave the plane. Surprisingly everyone did as they were told.
We were greeted by two people from border control who asked to see your locator form. You either handed in a printed one or showed a downloaded copy on your phone and walked straight through to passports OR.... joined the 60-70% of people who hadn't done it and filled one in on the spot before you were allowed to pass.
BHX was deserted a very sad site.
In Alicante when we arrived 10 days ago it was passports first, then a temperature check via overhead cameras and finally scan the locator form at security before leaving the terminal.
It seemed to work well at both ends.

Thanks B&W - I had only just heard about these forms on arrival. It’s all been word of mouth and I didn’t get anything official from Ryanair to tell me to fill a form in on my return which would have been helpful- I’ll do it online before the weekend

its a pity that the row by row is not adapted on all flights even when virus rules are lifted. it is stupid that as soon as the flight comes to a standstill every on stands up getting their things from the lockers then all standing for a further 15 mins awaiting the airbridge to be put into place.
people who live in glass houses should undress in the dark !

B&W - Got in tonight did the forms as you suggested and downloaded tme onto my I-Pad all ready.

No checks in place this evening for some reason. Perhaps they were tipped off about the 14 day isolation from tmrw ?
