I've had a power socket break, one side of the socket had the metal connector disintegrate. I bought a replacement from the brico up by mercadona, simple job to fit, I noticed that the new and old socket don't have the connections marked L , N and E for the live, neutral and earth. It appears that unlike the UK no importance is attached to which way round the L and N are connected as modern equipment doesn't care about which way round L and N are. I read that the convention in Spain is to put L on the right as you look in the socket. Anyway I went round all the sockets in my Masa built house and sixty five percent of the sockets have L on the right and thirty five percent have L on the left, you can test your sockets with an electricians neon screwdriver.
